Overview
Endless Corridors is a first-person psychological horror game that explores trauma, memory, and institutional decay through immersive environmental storytelling. Developed in Unreal Engine 5 as part of our MFA Independent Study at the School of Visual Arts, this collaborative project between Chatrin Samanchuen and I transforms a university campus into a haunted, shifting labyrinth.
You play as a grieving father returning to the site of a mass tragedy—your son’s university. As you explore abandoned classrooms and surreal corridors, the story unfolds not through cutscenes but through cryptic diary entries, flickering radio broadcasts, and symbolic environmental design. Spaces shift unexpectedly, offering subtle narrative clues and evoking psychological tension.
With minimal UI and a real-time candle timer mechanic, the game builds anxiety through sound design, lighting, and spatial instability. A modular, blueprint-driven system underpins the gameplay, enabling dynamic environments, interactive objects, and narrative puzzles—all structured for scalability and iteration.
Chatrin led the art direction and environment design, crafting brutalist-inspired interiors and decaying institutional motifs. Rithvik developed the technical architecture, blueprint scripting, and core gameplay systems. Together, we built a playable prototype that balances meditative horror with immersive storytelling.
Currently, we're expanding Endless Corridors into a longer-form episodic experience with voice acting, deeper puzzles, and AI-driven encounters.
